Eric Davis

Eric Davis was appointed to the NC State Board of Education in 2015 and served as vice chair before becoming chair in 2018. He previously served on the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Board of Education, representing District 5 from 2009 to 2017, and served as chair from 2009 to 2011. He graduated from the United States Military Academy with a B.S. in civil engineering. He served as an Airborne Ranger Combat Engineer officer in the U.S. Army and is a professional engineer. His board service includes the Charlotte chapter of the U.S. Green Building Advisory Council Charlotte and myFutureNC.
