Call for Proposals for 2022 Pandemic Pedagogy Research Symposium

Pandemic Pedagogy Research Symposium ImageIn collaboration with Duke Learning Innovation, the Friday Institute for Educational Innovation is pleased to co-sponsor the 2022 Pandemic Pedagogy Research Symposium: From Innovation to Transformation.

The virtual event, taking place May 11, 2022, is an opportunity for educators and researchers from around the country to come together for interactive presentations and panel discussions on new and emerging research related to creative teaching and learning during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Early data suggests that pandemic-born pedagogies and practices are resulting in positive outcomes: from more inclusive and equitable learning experiences to better student-centered course design. But as we look ahead, educators are confronted with the challenge of how to scale the new teaching practices to make them a part of the university experience for more students.

So, how do we move from innovation to real, lasting transformation? The Symposium invites original submissions that address this critical question through empirical research and translational analyses. Proposals will be accepted through January 18, 2022, and may represent completed research or works in progress with preliminary findings.
