Friday Institute Partners with NCCU, IEI to Help NCDIT Develop Digital Equity Plan for North Carolina

In partnership with North Carolina Central University and the Institute for Emerging Issues, the Program Evaluation and Education Research (PEER) Group at the Friday Institute will lead the effort to manage the development of a Digital Equity Asset Inventory for North Carolina, conduct a series of listening sessions across the state and facilitate the implementation and analysis of a statewide digital equity survey to help the North Carolina Department of Information Technology Division of Broadband and Digital Equity (NCDIT) develop a five-year digital equity plan.

AERA Workshop on Learning Analytics Graduate Programs Highlights Need for Curriculum Sharing

During the American Educational Research Association Annual Meeting on April 13, faculty from learning analytics graduate programs across the country convened in a working group roundtable to discuss student competencies, curriculum and instructional approaches in order to improve existing programs and guide the increasing number of programs in development.

PEER Group Acting Director Callie Edwards Aims to Grow and Diversify the STEM Workforce with New NSF Grant

A recently funded three-year, NSF grant will allow Callie Edwards, acting director of the Program Evaluation and Education Research (PEER) Group at the Friday Institute, to help investigate strategies aimed at improving the outcomes of undergraduate Black or African American men in entry-level mathematics courses in an effort to grow and diversify the STEM workforce.
