Involved with the public schools of North Carolina since 1974, Dr. Bill Harrison served as a local superintendent for 23 years, serving in Cumberland County for 12 of those years. He also served as chairman of the State Board of Education from 2009 to 2014. He is currently senior education consultant at Participate Learning and is school district liaison for the North Carolina State University’s Master of School Administration programs. He serves as chair of the Public School Forum of NC.
