AI with the FI: From Awareness to Advocacy Webinar Series

Join the Friday Institute for Educational Innovation for an engaging webinar series on the transformational power of AI in K-12 education.

The webinar series “AI with the FI: From Awareness to Advocacy” will take participants through the stages of adoption, from developing awareness and interest to becoming advocates for Generative AI in the classroom. Each webinar will support the development of educators’ AI Fluency to effectively equip students for an AI-driven future. The 45-minute sessions will provide guidance around instructional practices with AI tools, relevant examples, practical resources, and direction for next steps. All grade levels, subject areas, and skill abilities are invited to join.

Educators may choose to join each of the following sessions through various avenues.

  • Live! | Facilitated webinars in the afternoon (EST) for participants to engage with presenters and network backchannels.
  • Hybrid | Facilitated session recordings hosted for participants to engage with a facilitator and network backchannels.
  • Recorded | On-demand webinar recordings hosted on the Friday Institute YouTube channel.

“Stepping into AI: Unlocking the Power of Artificial Intelligence” fosters educators’ awareness and interest in Generative AI. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of AI fluency tailored specifically to educators and will help them be equipped to set both personal and professional goals for delving deeper into the world of AI.

“Navigating the Maze: Evaluating AI for Effective Teaching” guides educators in exploring the potential of AI in their work as an instructional leader. By delving into AI ethics and AI tools, educators will test and evaluate the value of AI for their teaching practice and need for efficiency and purpose.

“Embracing the Now: Leveraging AI for Student-Centered Learning” empowers educators to harness AI’s power for student-focused instruction. Participants will consider data privacy concerns and student learning needs as they strive to adopt suitable and flexible AI tools in their classrooms.

“Leading the Way: Championing AI in Education” provides a platform for educators to share their experiences and expertise in AI. By learning from peers and diving into collective knowledge, participants will become equipped to advocate for AI’s transformative role in education, positioning themselves as digital leaders in the field.

AI Learning Lab

The Friday Institute would like to invite you to showcase how you are using artificial intelligence (AI) in the classroom with your learners as part of the AI with the Friday Institute Awareness to Advocacy webinar series. 

The AI with the Friday Institute’s AI Learning Lab aims to create a network of educators utilizing these emerging technologies and willing to provide their expertise, experiences, and/or artifacts for the benefit of their education peers and evidence of their digital leadership. Based on your submission, the Friday Institute may include your work as model exemplars and/or share your work at the regional, state, or national levels.

To be a part of this effort to harness the transformation power of AI and to improve the teaching and learning experiences for your peers, please consider submitting your experiences, best practices, insights, and/or artifacts through the Google form below.
