2024 LCI Reading and Art Celebration: Brave Histories and Hopeful Futures

FreeThe Literacy and Community Initiative would like to formally invite you to this year’s Reading and Art Celebration!
The Reading Celebration will be on April 29 at the East Wing Education Gallery and Auditorium in the North Carolina Museum of Art from 6:30 p.m.-8:00 p.m.
The art gallery and reception will be held from 6:30-7:15 p.m. The reading will begin at 7:15 p.m. in the auditorium.

Please see the parking map here (at the end of the page). The closest parking is P1 with handicapped parking. We will be in the EAST BUILDING. The museum will be closed, but the building is open for our event.
At the Reading Celebration, our students, families and friends from Refugee Hope Partners, and our NCMA and NCSU partners, will be joining together to celebrate the writings and artwork of the student authors and artists! Student authors and artists will share their narratives from their new book and the artwork they have created in collaboration with local artist Maria Geary. The authors will also perform a book reading, answer audience questions and participate in a book signing. Light refreshments will also accompany this event.Open and free to the public.
