Innovation Island: A Professional Development Adventure
Welcome to Innovation Island--where educators and leaders in K-12 education embark on an immersive professional development adventure! Join us June 18, 2024, for a day of exploration, collaboration and innovation as we chart new territories in education.
About the Event
Innovation Island is not your typical professional development workshop. It’s an experiential journey designed to ignite creativity, inspire change and empower educators and leaders to drive innovation in their schools and communities. Through engaging workshops, interactive sessions and networking opportunities, participants will gain practical strategies, tools and insights to enhance teaching practices, leadership skills and student outcomes.
- Dynamic Workshops: Dive deep into topics such as AI education, project-based learning, educational technology integration, computer science and fostering a culture of innovation in schools.
- Hands-on Activities: Explore innovative teaching methods and technologies through interactive demonstrations and activities.
- Networking Opportunities: Connect with fellow educators, school leaders and industry professionals to share ideas, best practices and experiences.
- Certificate of Participation: Attendees will receive certificates that can be submitted to their schools or districts to earn Continuing Education Units (CEUs).

Innovation Island is open to K-12 educators, school administrators, curriculum coordinators, technology integrators and anyone passionate about driving innovation and excellence in education. Whether you’re a seasoned educator or just starting your career, there’s something for everyone at Innovation Island.

Accommodations
Once you register, hotel accommodation and room block information will be shared with you via email.
Cost
Reserve your ticket today for the low cost of $60/person*. Payment must be made before May 31, 2024, with a credit card during the registration process. Payment will be via credit card only.
*Cancellation fees do apply for any cancellations. You must cancel or transfer your session registration at least 10 days prior to the session date. Late cancellations may be subject to the full cost of the course. If you cancel prior to the 10 days, there will be a cancellation fee of $10. The remaining balance will refunded back to you. Please contact pllc@fi.ncsu.edu, if you need to transfer, cancel or if we need to accommodate participants with disabilities or special needs.
