Mike Reilly
Bio
Mike is a leading STEM and computer science educator specializing in bridging the gap between industry innovation and classroom practice. Recently relocated to North Carolina from Georgia, he brings a wealth of experience as the founder of the Center for Design and Technology (CDAT), a STEM-certified project-based learning (PBL) program that empowers students to collaborate across disciplines. A hallmark of his leadership has been establishing long-term corporate partnerships to enhance student opportunities and helping other programs to do the same.
In the classroom, Mike has been a key practitioner and advocate for computer science, implementing and teaching curricula from Code.org, ProjectSTEM.org, Unity and the College Board. His leadership extends to his work as a district mentor and high-impact robotics coach (FIRST, VEX, MATE), leading teams to World Championships while fostering a love of STEM across a broad spectrum of career paths. From co-authoring STEAM research to evaluating global initiatives, Mike is dedicated to ensuring every student is equipped for the future.
