Bio

Prime Sagala is a graduate research assistant for the ESTEEM II project. He is pursuing a Ph.D. in STEM Education, with a concentration in mathematics and statistics education. Before coming to NC State, he worked as a high school mathematics teacher for six years in Papua, Indonesia. He then earned a master’s degree in mathematics education from NC State. In 2025–26, he worked as a graduate research assistant for the VMED project and as a university supervisor for the Secondary Mathematics Education program in the College of Education.
