Briza Cruz

Briza Cruz is a recent graduate from Garner Magnet High School in Garner, North Carolina. This fall she will attend Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee. Briza hopes to major in graphic design and minor in music. She spends much of her time playing music with Northpark Church and advocating for the minority and feminist communities.

Kevin Garcia-Galindo

Kevin Garcia-Galindo attends Garner Magnet High School and is strongly involved in his community through Juntos, JROTC and his school’s student council. His greatest inspiration to follow his dreams are his caring mother and hardworking father who have set the example for him. His goals for the future are to go to a four-year college and law school.

DJ

DJ is 16 and and has always really enjoyed writing. She hopes that eventually she will be able to publish a book herself. She is a loud, hopeful, extravagant, and compassionate person. She has had a difficult past and expresses her growth throughout her work.

Vivian is 15 years old. She is outgoing and loud. She loves meeting new people and animals. She can be very protective of the people and animals she cares about. She loves hanging out with friends and her horse partner.

Sa’Rye is 13 years old. She loves to read. When she gets older she wants to be a psychologist or a businesswoman.

Safi

Safi is a person who is positive about every aspect of life. There are many things she likes to do, to listen to, and to experience. She likes to cook, think, dream, talk, and listen to positive words. She feels good about writing. She is 18 years old and moved to the United States two years ago. After she finishes high school, she will go to college to become a pharmacist.

Roshika

Roshika is 16 years and. She is really excited and passionate about writing. She is a shy person and gets nervous easily when presenting in front of a lot of people, but she loves preaching the gospel and giving advice.
