Connecting FACES: Piloting a Digital Learning Environment for the FACES Curriculum
The purpose of Connecting FACES was to translate one 3-hour FACES session into a digital learning environment (i.e., online module) to support parents, educators and service providers of minority children with autism. To develop the module, the design team curated from existing high-quality resources, including the existing FACES program, and filled in any content gaps with custom-created resources (i.e., video recordings of Dr. Pearson). The module contains foundational readings and resources, examples from the field, direct connections to practice and opportunities to engage with peers (e.g., discussion boards).
This project was funded by a Catalyst Grant from the Friday Institute and NC State College of Education.
