See Unbroken Pieces Through the Shadows: Educator and Reading and Discussion Guides

See Unbroken Pieces Through the Shadows is the third book written by the students at Bull City YouthBuild with writing instruction provided by LCI educators. The stories in this book represent the strength, determination, and intelligence of the YouthBuild students.

Bull City YouthBuild serves talented students living in the Durham, NC area. The students at Bull City YouthBuild wrote See Unbroken Pieces Through the Shadows with the help of North Carolina State University’s Literacy and Community Initiative (LCI).

For students: We recommend reading the book alongside the Reading and Discussion Guide. The book can be found here.

For teachers and educators: We have created guides that offer sample lesson activities, connections to CCCC, and discussion activities that help bring these books into your own classrooms.
